Neuroscience AOC

This topic represents an area of medical interviewing that many struggle with.  "How do we get HIV risk factors?" "How to we assess sexual performance?"  "How do you talk to a sexual predator?" "How do you even ask about sexual preferences?" 

 

To lead this workshop, we're fortunate to have with us Dr. Cam McGavin, who is the director of forensic psychiatry services at WPIC and someone who regularly works with sexual offenders.  He may share some of his experiences, but the focus will be on  you and your own interviewing.  We'll use a standardized patient encounter to practice approaches, with Dr. McGavin providing feedback and a general overview for students.
