Last updated: July 16, 2008

What is Shared Documents?

Shared Documents is a document library on MyZone where you can store documents that are displayed on your public home page. Use this library to share your work, accomplishments, and thoughts with peers and faculty.

Your public home page is located under "My Profile" and is accessible only to users with Zone accounts: students, faculty, and staff.  No one on the public internet can access these documents.  Other users can locate your profile by using the Search function on the general Zone portal.

What is Personal Documents?

Personal Documents is a document library on MyZone where you can store documents for your personal use.  Only you and system administrators can view or access these documents.  Use this library to store and access your documents online anywhere.

What documents are supported?

You can upload various files such as Microsoft Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), PDFs, and image files.

We recommend that you use Office 2007, Internet Explorer 7.0+, and Windows XP or more recent OS.  Mac users will note more restricted functionality compared with Windows.  For them, we recommend Office 2008, Firefox 2.0+, and Leopard OS.

How many documents can I store?

The largest-sized file you can upload is 50 MB.  Your MyZone site has a total storage limit of 500MB for all files and information.  If you need more space, please contact us (see contact info below).
