Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid section of the Zone. We hope that our section of the Zone will answer your questions about financial aid programs and the application process. For purposes of the UPSOM need-based funds, the student is not viewed as financially independent of parents. Students will need to provide parental information on the Need Access and FAFSA. Parental information will be used to determine need-based scholarship eligibility. This information will be collected regardless of age or marital status. Annual re-application may be required of some aid recipients due to unusual circumstances regarding their application and/or tax returns.
Students, including upperclassmen requesting a re-evaluation or who are required to be re-evaluated, should provide all financial aid applications and tax returns no later than April 16th, 2013. We understand that financing your medical education can at times feel overwhelming. It is our mission to provide you with accurate and up to date information that helps you reach both your professional and personal financial goals. It is our hope that the Zone will become a trusted source of information for you.
